122k, and i belive its the stock clutch....i have no idea how you all can burn thru a clutch unless you have gobs of power.. driving stick is so damn easy, just shift low in the rpm's like a baller...when you rev high it makes you look dumb as hell.

maybe im not using the right terminology, but catch is the term my dad used to teach me to drive. Basically that little pause when you lift your clutch and link the drivetrain to the engine (the initial rubbing). That's where all the friction/burning/wear occurs (I'm sure you already know this). My dad drove stick for 40 years (european) so I take his advice like gospel when he talks about driving stick. Basically to make the clutch last his advice was not to catch over 2000 rpm when going from standing still in first. I see him catch at 1200 regularly, no stuttering, nothing...I'm really jealous, but practice makes perfect.

Well, i found out that when the clutch went out it also took out the flywheel. So its going to cost even more, but the good thing is my parents are going to let me keep the car. But in the future i would like to get a stronger clutch but will still last long, any suggestions?
