cold weather break lights stuck on when off
2003 1.8T that will occasionally end up dead in the am. Now I've been lucky to notice sometimes the break lights will come on in the cold even when the car is off and the foot pedal is not being touched. If I am lucky enough to notice I can tap the breaks and the lights go out.
Last night when I parked it the temps outside were in the 60s. This morning it was 42. I went to start it and nothing, no crank, but there was a faint electrical noise.
The dealer has never been able to duplicate it, but it happens pretty frequently. I can jump it and the battery is fine.
I don't know if its related, but on occasion when locking the car the alarm gives numerous rapid beeps rather than just the one. Coincidence or is there an electical problem?
