Angry Brake Lights Come on in Cold Weather

I was wondering if any of you guys have ever seen this problem before. On nights when it is around 36 degrees or lower, my brake lights will come on during the night after the car has been sitting for a couple of hours or so. This is a problem because it has killed my battery once before and I just want to get it fixed so I don't have to go out and buy a new battery before I should have to. Any ideas on this? Weird, right? Thanks.

Change your brake light switch, mine started doing the same: my ESP light comes on, I got a dipped headlight error, my cruise control won't work... all kinds of crazy stuff, because of my brake light switch. Is like 10 bucks at the parts store or the dealer.

Sweet man. Thanks a lot. Is that pretty simple to switch out? Where is it located?

On the brake pedal. There's a DIY on vortex I believe. I do not have the link.

Did you take it to an Audi Dealer and they charged you $65?
