Concrete on the car - How to remove?
Hi All,
I have recently driven trough a puddle of what I taught mud, however it turned out to be fresh concrete from a local building site. As I assumed it was mud I did not do anything about it immediately and now this has hardened on the car. It looks bad! Really bad!
It is all over the grill and front fogs and light as well as behind every wheel. Do you have any suggestions as how to remove this? I have tried some sprays for tarmac but that did not do a trick.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your help!
Regards,

I haven't used it or anything but it sounds like your ready to try just about anything short ofhammeringthe crap off. Hope that helps.

Just seen also they suggest to use household vinegar and/or muriatic acid, so I guess I will try Vinegar first, but if that does not work I will try anything I can get my hands on.
Thanks for all suggestions, I will let you know results once I tried few options.

Lowes has a muriatic acid wash for concrete and mortar for brick. It has instructions for mixing with so many parts of water. Comes right off. I should know, I'm a home builder! Get concrete on my work trucks all the time. You'll need to get a new wax job afterwards, because the acid can dull the wax finish, but shouldn't hurt the paint or clearcoat.
FYI - If you ever use muriatic acid, keep it away from anything metallic. It will rust quickly if contacted. Simply storing pure muriatic acid in the same room as metals can cause them to rust.
