Considering an A4 to compliment my BMW
ORIGINAL: Leifer
Here's one for you:
How many people drive BMW 330s?
Okay, now how many people drive Audi A4s?
The ratio is pretty high. I tend to think that people who don't know anything about cars but have alot of money to spend buy BMW's because they're popular and good cars. However, when you look at the performance capabilities of both cars, the A4 demolishes the 330.
Audi's Quattro system > BMW's drivetrain
Audi's interior > BMW's interior
Audi's sex appeal >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>> BMW

Obviously you didn't read my suggestion.
Just get another set of wheels and get some blizzaks on there and you're set. Your BMW has a limited slip diff (IIRC) and traction control. I had to drive a 94 camaro with no limited slip and no traction control through two winters in Minnesota. I had some cooper snow tires and a sandbag in the trunk. I never had a problem in snow, even deep snow.

+1 some cheap wheels, winter tires. and your good to go.
I'll support ya man. BF.c members FTW. The A4 will be a great car for winter. I was actually considering getting an 93' E34 (5 series) touring or sedan for winter cuz I don't want the E36 to see snow under my watch. But I figure that Blizaks will do the job for winter. They should work for ou too, and you won't have to be seen driving a dreadful A4. JK I love B5's. If i weren't in the E36 I would be in a B5 for sure. Either way you'll be happy.
E46>A4. And I sell Audis. Yes, it's better in the snow, but that only matters for 2 months or so. E46s are prettier, have much more potential (I6>I4), and in the hands of someone who is skilled with RWD, can handle almost as well on dry road.
Oh, and snow driving is fun in a RWD car.[sm=badbadbad.gif]
