Default Control display gone bad

Hi and thanks in advance for reading this,

The control display in my audi is messed up (bought it in that condition from the previous owner) and, naturaly, the car runs fine without it - u can see some numbers and stuff, but it's all fuzzy and can't really make it out. Can anyone give me an idea of how much it would cost to replace the thing? And is it labour intensive or is it something u can DIY?

2000 a4 2.8L
90k
no mods

Thank you and suggestions are more than apreciated

if you are talking about climate control, i sent mine to this guy- here

i found him on ebay, very cheap, but he couldn't fix my problem. i had missing lcd bars and he said it was a very rare thing for that to happen.

i sent him the $60 to fix it, but since he couldnt fix it he replaced all the lightbulbs and cleaned it up, PLUS he refunded me $50 of my dollars.

in the end i paid $10 to get my lights replaced, when the dealer quoted me $120 (just for lights). honest guy...

i think he is talking about the display between the guages. here read this. everyione has this prob and the problem can be fixed by replacint the whole cluster. which is spendy.
