Why? You aren't going to get any performance gains and i really dont think you can unless you got a new ecu because your ecu now controls your TB and obviously the gas pedal.

the reson is that in the past 5 or 6 years that i've been workin with DBW systems all of them were a pain in the ***!
failing butterfly motors, tps issues galore, i mean the whole concept to me is taboo
i mean what was the point of introducing DBW???
more for us mechanics to fix (Pluss im getting some weird codes relating to the DWB system so i think its time to convert)

I'm pretty sure you don't need standalone...just an ECU and cluster of the year of the car whose nDBW hardware you're stealing. Which includes, IIRC, cable, TB, pedal cluster, probably some wiring ****...

Actually, I have little to no idea what I'm talking about. But i don't think you need standalone.

Not a VAG but i just recently purchased a Snap-On Solus (Scanner) and Snap-On Vantage Pro (2Ch. Lab Scope)

I forget what the code numbers were but i cleared hopping they wont return.
I think they were something Like... (long day at work)
TPS reference signal out of range (high)
I will check the TPS today with the Vantage and see if I find bad spots on it
