I read and was told to let me engine or turbo cool down after I drive it for extended periods of time or drive it hard... What constitutes a long period of time and how long should I let it cool down.

RE: cool down
Anytime you've been boosting the car shortly before your arrivial, let it idle when you arrive for about 1 minute. If you don't want to sit in your car for the minute buy a turbo timer, device that will automatically idle your car for a preset time after the key has been removed

dont waste your money on a turbo timer. Just sit with your car for 2 minutes, or someone wrote on her before, that when you open the door it chimes for 2 minutes, and thats a good timer right there.

Really you don't even have to sit there, with the car idling. Just drive like normal people for a few minutes. when you get a few miles from your house, just drive normally, within the speed limits and you should eb fine. Turbo timers are for the absurdly lazy!

i think i'll just sit in the car for a minute... but just wondering...... why wouldn't it cool down if i just shut off the car?
is it obvious when the turbo kicks in? someone told me it's around 2500 rpm ..
