cool down time
Hey guys,
My buddy was giving me **** the other day for not letting my car cool down before shutting it off. He has a turbo timer on his B5 A4 so he thinks I should let it run for 30 secs to 1 minute before cutting it.
I didn't think much at first because youd think it would be somewhere in the manual or a warning somewhere but then a few nights ago I second guessed myself when I popped the hood and saw the little bastard glowing like a hot coal!!!
Is he right? I know its normal for the turbo to heat up and glow red but is there something Audihas equipped or put in so no damage is done to the turbo?
Thanks,
-Travis

So instead of waiting once you get to your destination, take it easy on the car and drive in vaccuum for the last 2-5 minutes.
Good info! Was curious to see if anyone else uses a turbo timer but they seem more popular in colder climates...people with remote car starters here usually have them built right in for turbo charged vehicles.
