coolant flush
i just had coolant flushed in my 97 a4 1.8t/AT, the car is running fine but the coolant light is flashing and their is enough coolant in the tank, is this normal becaue it is still bleeding in the lines?????
yeah the light in the same cluster as the gas light, when i start the car up it goes on after like 15 seconds, the car is running normal and there is plenty of coolant, if it is trapped air do i just let it run or do i need to flush it out again and refill it??
yeah the temp gauge is where it normally is in the middle. will the light go on only when the coolant is low, abd will it shut off once it has bled through the lines????
one other question is what temp should the engine oil run at????

I don't know what you mean by this bleed through the lines business. When you get the coolant flushed, it should be totally filled up when you get the car back. You don't need to let it 'bleed through the lines' and then add more coolant.
Do a search for removing trapped air from the coolant.
I was wondering if it was really the coolant light because if the car is running fine and the coolant is full, you either have trapped air or the light is for something else. I don't know all the situations that the coolant light comes on, but it is almost always because the coolant is low.
Anytime you have a flashing light on the dashboard, it is something to worry about. The light is solid, you need to do something to the car, the light is flashing, you need to do something right now so you don't mess up the car.
I would say make sure one more time that it is the coolant light. Look in the owners manual and match it up to what you see. A lot of people mistake the coolant light for some other light and vice versa. If its the coolant light, get the car back to the shop and tell them to fix it.
