Hey all,
So my coolant temp/level warning keeps coming up in my display. So, went in, got an oil change and filled all fluids. So i figure this would make it go away. It came on as i'm driving away from the oil place. Any idea what the warning is for then? Haven't done anything out of the ordinary with my car lately, no harder driving, all my gauges look the same as usual (temp on the left, battery on the right, etc.) So what's goin on? Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

Could be a faulty coolent temp sensor or the level sensor on the underside of the coolant tank.

 

Ummm, what fluids did they put in your car?

Your car needs specific fluids (antifreeze, ps fluid, etc). If you use Jiffy lube stuff, you will have to have it drained out.

 

use a VAG-COM see if you can pull a code that would tell you if the temp sensor sender thingy is bad
