Couple of question's
I just sold my stang and bought a 2001 A4 1.8T.
I was wondering. Does anybody know what the stock boost is on this car? I was looking at a chip from LLTEK that is supposed to raise the boost to 15 psi.
Next question. can a chip raise the boost like that?
Finally. Is there a difference between a Wastgate and a BOV?
This is my first turbo car, so sorry for the stupid questions.

RE: Couple of question's
BOV=Blow Off Valve
BOV's are NOT what are used in Audi turbo systems; you will need a DV or BPV.
Click here for terms list
Also:
DV's:
Bailey = Probably the most popular, serviceable, $$$
Evolution Motorsports = Cosmetic (4 color choices), not serviceable, $$
Forge = Large (may have fitment problems), serviceable, $$
Forge Race = Larger than others (see above), adjustable, serviceable, $$$
Hyperboost = Cosmetic package, not serviceable, $$
Hyperboost Adjustable = New, cosmetic package, may not fit S4, adjustable preload, not serviceable, $$$
Hyperboost HX = Newest, very cosmetic package, new internals, not serviceable, $$$
OE Bosch TT 710N = Basic, popular & low-budget upgrade, maintains stock look, not serviceable, Audi part# 06A-145-710-N, $
OE Bosch Sport 110 = MTM upgrade, same as 710N with "better" internals, not serviceable, $$
$ = under $50 USD
$$ = $50 - $150 USD
$$$ = Over $150 USD
I would not go with LLTEk for a chip. Never heard of their chip.
Most reputable chips are APR and GIAC.
There are others, but these two are progressive companies and have a large service network.
