Does anyone elses ashtray or cup holder not open? the ashtray has been stuck since i bought the car but the cup holder just got stuck today...any suggestions on getting them on stuck???

my ashtray is stuck also. not worth fixing it. the cupholder on the other hand. I popped the plastic thing that surrounds it off, pulled it out and cleaned all the hinges/moving parts. this helped for a few months. it started sticking again so i will clean again soon. try that. otherwise you can tap on it until it pops out a little (closed position) then tap it again and it will open. takes some practice to get it. i've had a lot of practice since i'm addicted to dunkin donuts.

 

My ahtray got stuck once because I was using it for change and it got a little overfilled. So the next time I was at the dealer, I had them look at it. They told me I needed to replace the whole thing for like 100 bucks, so I said no. I got into the car after they were done, and I pressed on it and it popped right out.

 

Can I find an alternative to cup holders for my car???? I have cup holders under my arm-rest and I think that's the dumbest thing in the world!!! Is there anything I can do???

 

Both mine are stuck too. I havent tried to fix either yet... But i know there are ways.

Just kidding.... I find the ones under the armrest work well.
