Default Cupholder in dash stuck ...

it's been a slow progress..
every morning i just put an un-opened cup of coffee in it long enough to get me into work. i wouldn't even open the lid untill i got into work, but you know how good of a seal those lids make....
well basically i've had enough small drops that its been getting more and more difficult to get the cupholder to come out recently. it's gotten so bad that for the last week or so i haven't pushed it back in out of fear that it might be the last time it's ever out.

so i know it's only coffee in the tracks on some surface in there. and i know it cant be that much, just enough to get it stuck evidently.. so does anyone have any advise...??
WD40 ??
i dont know but i'm sure i'm not the first to have to find a lube/dried-beverage-remover for this crappy cupholder..

Invent something and sell it to all of use Audi owners who have stuck climate control buttons from spilled coffee.

don't use wd-40, it will leave a residue. use something that evaporates away clean. something like contact cleaner, but that may be damaging to the plastic, idk.

Just test it on the plastic in an inconspicuous place first. Let us know how it works
