Don't even waste your time with intakes other then the carbino and its expensive. All the other intakes you will loose hp, i bought a evo and went to carbino, dont waste your time with other intakes, its not worth it.

because with most aftermarket intakes, you're not actually getting cold air. you're getting super hot air coming off your turbo

no im talking me myself making a cai from scatch....have it come out right behind the pass fog light...remove the grill when its not rainin and when it is just pop the grill back in.....either way it will get cooler air from the fron of the car not the turbo

Running something down there is alot better. But on a stock turbo it wont make any differnce, just noise. Now jeff on the other hand is seeing gains because that turbo is massive, and sucks a few more cfms than a ko3

After helping Arif and seeing everything appart around the air box area, I think it wouldnt hurt to turn the bottom of the air box into some swiss cheese if i wanted a slight "intake" sound and not suck in too much hot air, not as much as a real kone intake. If I did that, would it make the sound of the turbo or dv louder??
When people say they hack their air box, do they just do it on the bottom or all over?
