1.8t, I have my modified Airbox for sale. Mines a lil more then swiss cheese and you will see gains.


btw- you only wana do it on the bottom and up some of the sides or else you'll suck turbo air. Let me know if you want my top and bottom box.

Thanks for the tips, i dont even really care if i see gains, as long as i dont see losses and can hear the turbo spool louder or at least the DV noise a little. Depending on what my tax return is ill get a K04 pretty soon and that will help i guess. Anything more than that will serve me with divorce papers.

gl making a cai with anything newer than a 99.5. You got secondary air crap hogging all the prime real estate

what i did was in the air box there was a circle that i cut out that was right next to the wheel well so i cut one in there too, so i get air from inside the wheel well. but thats for a 99 2.8 so it probably wont help.

there are lots of people that just cut holes into there air box to get more air, i did it to my friends jeep and we could tell a difference

ok first off no offence to any one whos done the "air box hack" but thats what it is a hack job......and 2this summer when i do do itthat is make a cai that drops right behind the pass fog light ill do a write up on it......and every thing im doin is preparein for a bigger turbo. i like to get everything primed and ready for the "big guns"

I think we know that a hack job is a "hack job" with the airbox, and the thread just went from cold air intake to intakes in general.. If you wanted to talk about your future mods then start a new thread. Why would andyone take offense to any part of what you said?

no i just don't want u guys to start flammin me for somethin i said(it happend on a diff forum for my max) thats all, and i was just statin that this intake was mainly meant for my bigger turbo
