Cylinder 2 misfire....please help me:-(
Hello all,
I am currently having a misfire issue which I can't figure out. I actually received a warning signal a few days ago when the car felt like it was misfiring when I first turned it on, but only lasted for a few seconds. All of a sudden this afternoon after work, I turn on the car and it is clearly misfiring. The engine light turns on and I imediately drove to the close by autozone to get the code checked. The code was for cylinder 2 misfire, so I simply think its a coil and go home. After changing the coil, same issue still occurs. I even tried with another coil, just in the unlikely case the new coil was broken, and its still not working. Could this be a computer issue? I bought the car with an APR chip, so that came to my mind. Any ideas? I also checked voltage to the lead of the coil wire and it has 11.5v.
Thank you very much for your help.

hmm this is what i did when I had that problem..
I numbered the coilpacks 1-4 and logged it with the help of "2k S4" and I had a misfire in Cylinder 2, so i pulled that pack and swapped it with number 4, the misfire moved to that one..
Replaced all the coilpacks and problem was solved..
Are you sure that you dont have multiple coilpacks starting to fail?
Find somebody with a vagcom and see how many misfires you get on each cylinder, swap the coilpacks around and see if that moves the misfire to that cylinder or if the misfiring still occurs on the same cylinder, because it sounds to me like you had a misfire on cylinder 2, and got that code, but now you may not be 100% sure that your misfire is still coming from that same cylinder.
