My car (99 VW 1.8T) started to have a rough idle few days ago. I changed the spark plugs, did a vag-com at a friend's house that read cylinder 2 Misfire Detected. Probably Reason: Low Fuel. Switched the coil pack with the one from cylinder one, did the vag-com again and readings stillindicate cyl 2 misfire.
I also noticed that the voltage at the second spark plugseemed to be about 50% higher than the other three (1 point something for the 1, 3 and 4 and 2 point something at plug 2)
I'm thinking that the injector might be dirty so I added some injector cleaner in the gas tank this morning and drove it to work (about ten miles so I think it's too soon to tell if it works ) Except for that what else could it be?

Is your CEL on? Most likely it's your ignition control module. Fairly cheap to find online, and one minute to replace.
