Cylinder Misfire/ Audi Owners are the best
I renently traded my modded Honda Accord [most reliable car] for a 1997 A4 1.8TQ [one of the least reliable] so I new I was asking for trouble. Well trouble hit two days ago when my Check Engine Light came on and i felt a bad engine stutter. I was told I should run a Vag-Com on it [which I didnt have] so, thanks to this forum, I found someone in my area who would be nice enough to run it on my car for free. It turns out I have a misfire on cylinder 4. If I had to guess Id say it was a spark plug since it only misses under full boost. Maybe a coil pack? Does anyone have any guesses?????
The other reason for this post was to say how nice other Audi drivers are. The person who ran the Vag-Com on my car is in his mid 20s and has an S4, HOW SWEET. Not only did he diagnose the car for free, he gave me a copy of the software, copy of the Esla Repair Manual and emailed me the results from the VAG. I thought that was awesome and totally made my day. Not to mention seeing a A4 3.0 on my drive home and getting to go about 110 following him

its most likely the coil pack, this happens all the time. like mentioned above, swap the coil pack into another cylinder, see if the misfire follows the coil pack, if it does, theres your answer.
