Default Damn cassete!!!

Grr! Im really regretting that I tried to play a cassete in my car right now. It won't eject! Has this happened to anyone? There is a loud clicking/grinding noise comming from it yet it does not move an inch.. If I was to remove the radio, is there a way to access the cassete deck from the top? (I really don't care if it plays again, I just want the tape gone so it would not recognize it!).. One more thing I didn't check when buying it that now turns out broken[:@]
EDIT: Its the Concert radio.

Alright well there was no easy way to do it but by force.. The problem is that the deck still thinks that a tape is inside yet the eject function will not move the deck up.. When I click the MODE button it still takes me to the tape[:@]. Any way to disable it without completely killing it (Even though I don't care at all for the cassete deck) ?

Can't you just press on the radio/CD button and it changes automatically?

It does change automatically but the MODE button still takes it to the cassete since it thinks that there is one in there.. Im guessing that the deck that lowers and raises is not in the up position since something is broken and is keeping it from going up..
This is no big problem for me to push the button once more but I'd just like it to be automatic..

What year is your A4?

This happened to me before in another car and the only way I could get it out was using couple of screw drivers. (Forced it out basically).

Who uses a cassete? my god, even CDs are being phased out by ipods and whatnot. If you can see the cassete in the player and don't care about destroying the cassete to get it out; just stick a sharpe knife into the thing and try to get it out.........

I think it's funny you actually are using cassettes BUT......

What you do is get the cassette adaptor for an IPOD and leave it in there. Then you can at least use the ipod anytime assuming you have one. I did the same thing and it works great.

yea i have the same head unit ( audi concert) and i put a tape deck adapter in it so i could play ipod and laptop in the car and it will not eject it and also makes the annoing clickin noise. i didnt want to force it so i just left it in there with the wire sticking out and annoying me constantly. but its not so bad cause i still use the tapedeck adapter alot.
