Default Damn emissions!

I recently took my car for an emissions test and failed (2.8Q)! The funny thing is, they never put the hose on the tail pipe. The guy told me my car failed the OBDII test. He stated my car doesn't have an OBD for his computer to read. This sounds kind of strange. Anyone know where the OBDII is located. Is he not doing something right or inot know what he's doing? Is my car really "OBDII-less"? Educate me. I need to know. He told me to come back in a couple of months when I got one put in. To my understanding, I thought all cars were made with it.

Thanks for all of your help so far. Peace.

All cars sold in the US starting in the 1996 model year have an OBDII connector. It's usually in the drivers side footwell area. Unless your car is european spec, which I highly doubt, then you have one.

Its under the steering wheel to the left. Just above where your knee is. It's a plug about 2" wide.

The obd port can be detatched from the pannel that its connected to under the steering wheel. Someone at some time may have had the pannel off and didnt snap the port back into the position on the back side of the pannel. I had to disconnect mine from the pannel when i was running my hose for my boost gauge. So it could just be hangin up in there if you know what i mean.

very dodgy test there, yes its OBD 2 the socket on the EUROPEAN car is int the rear cigar ashtary center console between the seats ( why does he need to plug into to that for emissions testing) that's for garages to diagnose faults not for him to poke around with, he didn't put the pipe in the exhaust which means he didn't carry out an emissions test "hes taking the P"
