Dash, no permanent Live?

Dash, no permanent Live?
Hi
My Dash Clock stops once I turn off the ignition and the tripometer in the Speedo resets? Is there a fuse for to a permanent Live that might have blown or has anybody else had this problem?
Its a '96 A4 1.8T
