Dashboard warnings disabled?
Hi everyone. I have abit of a problem with my 2002 A4 B6 1.9 tdi. Try and explain this without rambling lol.
Before I bought the car was told the bulb out warning was always on on the DIS even though all bulbs worked fine. but then just before I picked it up was told this was fixed. Great
Few months later realised some bulbs were out on rear of car which makes me think it wasn't fixed but just turned off or disabled somehow. Btw audi technician friend of the bloke i bought it off worked on it before I bought it.
A while after this I did a very bad thing and let the oil run virtually dry, not good. But ther was no warning on the dash to say oil low at all.
Question is how could the warnings be disabled and could this be done through VAG COM? I do get some warnings/alarms on the dis like fuel level low so its not like all warnings have been disabled and must be working to some degree.
The bulb out warning doesn't bother me but oil low and any other warning that should come up but has possibly been messed around with does.
Any ideas how to go about diagnosing, cheers.
