dead battery-vag com codes
I just replaced my battery yesterday on a 01A4B5 (sound typical?) and didnt think i would have to reset any codes, but i noticed my windows are not one touch any more, so i figured i take the chance today to have my mechanic make some other tweeks while he was in thier changing that code. He knows his way around a vag com, but i have a feeling he wont have all the codes I will want. Can someone here post the link to code list for available chnages to the standard operating codes available to the A4? I have searched for the last half hour for the list here, and all I have is Jestnomen's link to the Audi World Tech article "Coding the Control Module for the A4, published in 2000. Will these codes work for a 2001? Im guessing so, or the link would not have been posted recently. The last time i saw the complete list I believ it was on the Audizine website, and for some reason i believe i read they are actually somewhere listed in the trunk of the car under the spare, etc.....but a printable list would be perferred. Hope someone can help, and I will metion again that i made a good faith effort using the search option, so dont blast me on that one.
The scab at the battery place did a number on the plastic housing around the battery trying to rip it out without taking all the moulding off first.....and he put in the wrong size battery without even checking size first. Needless to say I will be putting in the replacemnt today at my regular mechanics shop when i finally have the time.
thanks again.

You have to teach the windows to do one touch up and down. Roll the windows down and hold the botton down for a few seconds past the time they stop. Now close the windows and hold the button again. They should then know the drill.

Thanks AGAIN for the help Jest. So guess it's not related to the codes anyways? I may not have to change anythig at all. Some of the codes i read on audizine a while back sounded interesting, but i dont have the time today/tonight to research this.
anyways, i appreciate it.
I still would like to find the "master list" if there is one. I did not see it in the Ross Tech link at first glance.
