Dealer does it again.
For whatever reason, I've had decent luck with my Audi dealers in my area. I luckily have 2 within a hour of me. So I can choose which one to go to depending on price.
I had only a valet key for my car when I got it and finally got around to buying a remote and key. I got the remote and key cut for $163.00. I guess that's ok. I then programmed the remote myself and noticed that when I tried to start the car the electronic immobilizer kicked on.
I called both dealers and one quoted $95 for the programming on the key, and the other $43. So, of course I went with the cheapest. I took it in today and waited for a half-hour. I had a warning light on for Dynamic Headlight Range Control. When the car came back out, light was gone for DHRC. Sweet. I noticed then that my cluster was showing my CD changer and track numbers. Sweeter. Then tonight after bowling, I turned on the headlights, and the DHRC was working. Very cool to see the lights move themselves. Sweetest.
So, I'm happy with my dealer again. Epescially after one quoted me a few months ago $500 for rear brake job and this one today told me $380-$400. Hmmm. I might have dealer do the work for me.
