im considering debadging my 1998 2.8...but i was wondering if the paint underneath would be noticeably faded? it's the only thing holding me back...i dont want to be able to see "A4" and "2.8 Quattro" as a sillouette after i debadge it....my car is silver, anyone have experience?

even if there was an outline, which there really shouldn't be, it would weather pretty fast to match the rest of the car, esp. if you live up here in NE.

as i said, i was worried about degadging my car, so i practiced on every other car in our alley.

turns out with about 10 cars under your belt you can do it in under 5 min.

So that was YOU, you bastard.

i tossed mine in a plastic baggy in the glove box.

that way they stay with the car.

Yes, like i told your wife, I'm sorry i de-badged her ***.

I miss took her *** for a ford f-350.. with volvo tags stuck on it. I thought i was doing some dude a favor.

I did not know she leaned against a volvo and badged her ***.

If she did not know she badged her *** I am suprised she caught me de-badging it. It must have been the combo of the hair dryer, prybar and sledge hammer to her posterior that tipped her off.

Like i said dude, I thought i was doing you a favor.

I have a 99.5 silver a4, i dunno if this is recommended, but i used rubbing compound to get the little outlines off..... it didn't scratch mine at all and took all the residue off.... and you can't see that they were there, no fading or anything
