i cant feel them b/c my fingers hurt and are blistering. but they look like residue not loss of clear coat. but no luck btw, i'm still not getting anywhere. i also tried wd-40 and bug/tar remover.

all i managed to do was install a few beautiful scuffmarks.

yeah it's definately there, and honestly at this point i've worn out. when you go at it at no result, you lose moral. at this point unless any other good ideas come up, i'll wax it tomorrow then buy a new emblem and put it back on..

a "Claybar" is a detailers best friend.. its a synthetic bar that quickly and safely removes imbedded contamination from all glass and painted surfaces. Once you use it on a spot on your car.. its smooth as glas.. have you ever run your hand on your paint and noticed that there are tine little bumps in it? a Claybar will remove those as well as what you have on your car.. on my white car, it didnt matter what i did, the paint was stained and looked dirty.. i clayed it and it looked brand new and removed all the crap best investment ever (on the detailing side)
