Default Debadging a black 98 1.8T

So.. I think the back of my car would look a bit nicer sans everything but the rings, symbol-wise.

If I did debadge these, what are the chances that I would get shadowing? Dunno where the previous owners kept it, but I've garaged it from day 1 since I purchased it,

with enough buffing and polishing you should be able to get any marks off that way

Debadged mine.. It looks great no shadowing at all... I washed, claybared, polish and sealed, and waxed about 2 months later.. My car never looked better... Only thing about black is that it gets dirty fast... But she is really sexy when shes all nice and looking deep and wet... I garage mine too Btw

took you an hour...it took me a half hour to do all emblems
a bottle of goop gone
fishing string
newspaper
heat run
im sure with enough rubbing you san do it without but (bodyshop quality adhesive remover)

open trunk, put news paper inbetween trunk and bumber (close)

squirt goop gone on and around emblem

use heat gun and heat up emblem
if you have another person, keep heating emblem and slowly slide the fishing string under emblem working back and fourth all around, till emblem comes off

then get a rag and the adhesive remover and rub till all the excess adhesive is gone, then use some compund, or abrasive sirface cleaner, and rub the shaddowing away, (wax over) then your done !

please excuse any typos im quitre drunk at the moment

Hmm.. I went about it a somewhat similar way.

Dental Floss
Hairdryer
WD-40
Some sort of TurtleWax bug splatter thing.. works REALLY well in cojunction with the WD-40
Towels
Starbucks card

I heated it up with the hairdryer, then used the floss under it to slowly saw them off. Then hit it with a combo of the WD-40 and the Turtlewax, made sure it didnt go anywhere but in the local area of the badge, and scraped away with the starbucks card.
