its kinda like walmart and nordstroms. Both might have the same thing but not really. Id go with K&N air intakes dont really do much for audis especially for a 200+ price tag.

The biggest difference is throttle reponse and sound. The lltek intake will give you much better response than a K&N drop in filter.

If you have a 2.8, the lltek CAI helps to eliminate the "flat spot", between 2000-4000 rpm where the motor is kinda slow, that's why i got it. With the cat back exhaust, it really makes a differance, and throttle reponse is improved as well.

Yeah, I've got a 2.8 and that deadspot can suck...I just bought a used LLtek intake from someone on the forums for about half the cost of a new one. Hasn't showed up yet (fingers crossed), but can let you know if it was worth the investment once I get it installed. If nothing else, I should at least get a nicer sounding growl under acceleration.

Hell, I spent more $$$ than that on booze this past weekend without even thinking about it :-)

The K&N is a drop in filter. It only replaces the stock filter box. The lltek kit replaces the entire intake housing. You have to take out the intake tubes that run from the grille into the turbo housing, Its a filter comparing to a kit. Two diff fields.

Awww, don't go player-hating on my new intake :-)

Our airboxes are pretty unrestricted, thats true...so I'm definitely going in with low expectations. Lltek claims 10+ HP gain, it'll probably be closer to 5. Plus smoother throttle response, some growl under acceleration...gotta do your own cost/benefit analysis my friend. And you're definitley paying a premium for the Lltek brand.

If I end up not liking mine, I can hook you up for a reasonable price
