Default Difference Between Tiptronic and mutitronic

What is the difference Between Tiptronic and Mutitronic? My multitronic works just like a tiptronic when in shift mode. i noticed that the tip is only for the quattro.

that's what i thought, but they are marketed and labeled differently, with multitronic being also called a CV.

One thing that I noticed is that Tiptronic has the shift paddles on the steering wheel, while my Multi does not
