Well after i recieved my overage check from school i decided to do the diode mod, with boost guage, MBC, and new DV. My problem is the soldering, i dont have a soldering iron for the diode. Is it idiot proof, or do you really need to know what yor doing?? Sorry for the noob question, but i dont know what to tell you.....

well you can get an iron for about $10. its pretty easy to solder. just get some extra wire and practice a few times. your solder may not look glorious but as long get it connected your fine

 

all you do is heat up the wires and then melt lead on them, simple and easy to learn. It doesnt have to look perfect, just need a solid connection

 

Make sure you get rosin core solder. 3 dollars at radio shack
