Are we able to do this to our cars? The vw guys can do it to their 1.8t's.

Good subject to talk about... Thanks for posting it. If you have any links and a breif summary about it post em up. Its not talked about much-if at all around here. I used to have a couple good links but now i dk where they went. If you need any help with it PM jettared he sent me a few links on how to do it on the audi with an easy swap out connector when i was having overboost codes. The fact is though if you need to use a diode mod to keep from going into limp mode from over boost for example there is an underlying cause and the diode mod just covers it up. There is another diode mod for the 02 sensor to get you to pass emissions with a test pipe,or as a substitute for the non fouler mod so you dont get a CEL. Please post info if you got it and hopefuly jettared will see this thread and add his .02

 

i was having over boosting problems with my car when i went bt. to fix them i just took out the n75 and ran a mbc. but i dont think its smart to cover a problem up when you need to fix the underlying problem

 

i tried the diode mod wasnt quite happy with it, 2nd and 3rd gear at wot the engine sounds like it was cutting itself out my boost gauge was also buried it only says 25psi but it was beyond that. thats my only complaint about it.heres a good post about the diode mod.

ya its not really a recomended mod for any situation but its interesting how it works and can have good results if done properly. Mostly a mod more well known to the VW crowd, those bastards will try anything.
