question, would installing my Forge 007n diverter valve backwards cause my motor to ping at higher rpm's? could the spring be too strong? just curious because my motor pings at about 4K in all the gears (checking every possible cause even though GIAC told me to go get the latest flash). thanks.

you can only try and let see the results, Ive heard of this mod but not convinced it does anything good to the engine

If this were the case it would mean that the car, or at least the reflash, was designed with a leak from the valve expected in the system.
Pinging is caused when the relationship between octane, RPM, cylinder pressure, A/F and spark advance is incorrect.
