Default DIY Brake Kit????

I have a 1997 a4 1.8T quattro manual and need new rotors and pads. I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade them, i wanted something more but i don't go to the track or anything so i decieded on the A8 brake kit. After looking at the kit i realized it was just the TT brake carriers and A8 rotors. Is it possible to buy this parts independently and save some money, i think i get for about 80 bucks cheaper, just a thought please let me know if it is possible. And is there any additional hardware i would need to complete the kit? Thanks

I dont see what you couldn't save some $ and get it else where. The bolts holding the carrier might be shorter/longer but that's an easy fix. What brands are these? (kit/cheaper alternative)

Iwas looking at the pure motorsport stage 1 package which came to about 340 with shipping. I founda new OEMcaliper carrier for 140 shipped and zimmerman rotors for about 160 or stock OEM a8 rotors for 120, so a total of 300 or 260 respectively. Not too much difference but why not save some money. I could find a used caliper carrier for even cheaper but i dont really feel like doning something like the brakes half assed. So then i could take the extra and buy some sweet pads!
