i looked here the zine and audidiy.com. anyone knwo of a diy for oil pan removal on a 1.8t involving motor and tranmission mount removal

seen it done on other cars but don't know if you would get the height to clear the cross member,
undo mounts and jack engine up keeping an eye on things that might catch when lifting ( undo/remove anything that might get in the way ),
only other way is the correct way and there is a lot to do because the engine has to be hoisted from the top and lots have to be removed

i wouldn’t call it diy, unless you have something to lift your engine using hooks on the top of the engine , only few of the audi members changed it. y do u need to replace it? some leaks could be fixed with metal glue …

thanks for the input. i have had the oil pan off. and i saw t he mechanic do it from jacking up the motor inside the car with the mounts off. from the bottom. i need to change my oil pick up tube....clogged and screwing everything up[:@]. normally i would take it back to the mechanic but he said 400. to put in my 22 dollar pick up tube. i am going to try and do it
