Default DIY intake

I wanted to do something like that for my 2.8, but I was wondering what you guys thought about this, is it good?
I had a question, if i do this, should i just replace the panel filter with a high flowing one? Or should I get tubing and put a cone filter on it instead of the panel filter....?

humm that clever. I wonder how much that helps. If u are going that route u could just rip out ur air box an dput a custom bent one to have the filter in teh iner fender. (im thinking of doing this)

hmm....why go through all that just to put the filter up there, itll just get dirty faster.
Ive got an idea though, do just what is shown there, but take out the panel filter in the stock airbox and put a cone filter with a tube coming from the MAF.
