DIY intake
All you gotta do is wrap a chain around it and secure the other end to a fixed object... pole, fire heidrant... then slam your car into reverse and punch it... the airbox willbe straight out of you way.
Take out that accordian looking thing. Then remove the two screws on the intake piece on your front bumper o top and take that out. From there its just finding the screws to take out the main box. I tink there are 2-3 on that firewal thing to the right of it and itd judt hunting for screws and clips from then on out. Im not 100% sure on how many of them there are. But i know its a bunch. Make sure you take all the sensors and stuff off also and that you get them back on the new one.
An intake is basically useless though. Do a search and you can find out how to make the stock airbox breathe easier. There are people out there that just cut out chunks from there box and claim that it breathes better.... I personally dont know for sure but i would rock out the search thing on top for this... been discussed many a time.
And dont do anything I have just said here before looking farther into it being that im not completely sober. But its all good. I'm sure someone will comment on this by the afternoon.

I'm working on a metal intake design for the B6s... Just conceptual as of now, I'm hoping to talk to someone with a Robotic Tig Welder here soon, and get it done. If it gets rolling, I'll probably have a tangable product by summer, I'll keep you posted.
Basically, the design will feature these main points:
-58mm at Compressor (Samco Coupler connecting Inlet Pipe to Compressor)
-58mm-65mm Increaser
-65mm-72mm Increaser
-72mm at Stock Air Box (Samco Coupler connecting Inlet Pipe to Air Box)
-Fittings for all stock lines and hosing
Basically, it will be made of 304 Stainless Steel, and it will be Robitically Tig Welded. It will be able to handle any boost level, and it will make the Turbocharger sing. I'm also going to be working on a high flowing Sheet Metal Air Box that fits in stock location, and flows much better than stock. Once again, I'll have a tangable product by this summer. If all goes well, I'll be selling them... IF ALL GOES WELL. As of now, it's just another one of my silly dreams. Haha
