Default DIY : need help - Windwasher reservoir replacement

Hi and thanks in advance for reading this,

Recently i've stumbled across a leak in the water windwasher system for the windshield. The sign for low water level is always on and I think it's the reservoir that has a leak, so I need to replace it.

Can anyone help me with some pointers? I want to know if it's a PITA or really expensive on parts? Also I think it's the reservoir but I can be wrong, if you have any idea why I should think otherwise please let me know.

BTW, it's not electric either. When I add the water I can confirm that it leaks under the car.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

This would be your washerfluid pump, they split all the time. Just replace the washer pump and the leak will more than likely go away. This has happened on mine once and a friends as well.

Use this tutorial:

Typically it is the pump housing that cracks. You'll have to do some investigation though.

Thanks for the help, guys and for the tutorial, Jest. Doesn't seem to be a great PITA, so I'll tackle it next weekend.

Yeah it's fairly straight foward. I had a leaking pump on my B5 that I had to replace. Probably took me 2 hours total time.
