Question is pretty much self contained in the subject title. I've been doing a lot of searching, and I have not ever found a 1.8T Avant with black leather interior. Was it not an option, as the 2.8 seemed to be the "high end" model of the era?

 

The B5 1.8t only came with the cloth or the "pleather" vinyl option. I have seen black vinyl in 1.8t's.

Yeah, it really isnt a big job at all. I am doing a conversion in my 97 from the grey sport cloth seats to heated black leather seats....and it isnt a big deal at all.

 

I just wanted to confirm that this was the case for the 1.8T AVANT. I've seen it on the sedans, but never a 1.8T Avant. More importantly: Does it come with black panelling?

 

Yes, I just bought my 2003 1.8t Avant A4 and it does have black leather interior. Came with the Piano black dash trim pieces. pretty slick looking.
i just put an APR chip on it. Can't wait to put on AWE Tuning's exhaust on it. Just need to decide on what wheels to upgrade to? Any pics or websites to look to see wheels on actual cars?
