dash warning 2:00H lights
Newbie here. Searched around a bit and couldn't find an answer. I've had a 2001 A4 1.8T now for almost 2 years and I love it. One little annoyance is the driving time warning light that flashes at you beginning after 2 hours. I'm finding myself driving between NYC and DC a lot these days and I find it very distracting. I've heard of performance enhancing chips that alter the computer. Is there any such modification that can be made to disable this "feature" ? Barring that I guess I could just dim the dash lights, I just find the flashing distracting and wish I could turn it off.
Thanks in advance.

RE: dash warning 2:00H lights
it is a reminder that you have been driving continiously for over 2 hours. if it annoys youm then toggle your wand thing to go to somthing else EX.....miles per gallon....... or you could just reset the trip computer by holding down the button on the bottom of your wipers wand....

To turn it off just push your display selector button up or down on the end of your windshield washer arm(the one thats on the left side of the steering wheel.) As for a permanent fix...not a clue.

Hrm... my computer controls should be on the wiper wand on the right side, but it appears I have a replacement part there. I have no toggle buttons at the end, and the service history lookup shows the part was replaced ages ago before I was the owner of the car. Appears I need to get that part replaced.
Still I wish there was a permanent fix.
Thanks

that's whack. there should be buttons on the end and a button on the bottom to turn it off.
