Default Do chips interfere with Sports mode

I was just wondering what the effect of an APR chip would be on the sports mode of my car (A4 2007 2.0T Quattro). Also if someone could tell me what exactly sports mode does i would be very grateful. Atm all i know about it is that it changes the shift points (i think).

If your just chipping the ECM it souldn't have anyaffect on the transmission. If you're chipping the TCM (transmission control module) the D and S mode should be generally the same after its chipped.

Yeah there is no TCU (TCM as the EXPERTS call it)chip for newer cars that im aware of. As audisupermastertech79 says, it wont have an affect on your tranny.

Your car will pull harder on you... that's the only effect
I have manual transmission, it's in sport mode 24/7
