Default Do I really need a Turbo Timer ?

Hello everbody.

Car is whole stock. I check the oil temp all the time and when I park my car it is usuall about less than 200°F. Do I really have to wait 1-2 min to cool the turbo down ? Or can I just shut the car off after I parked my car?

Thanks...

You don't need a turbo timer. But just remember to let the car run for a little while (a minute or so) before turning it off if you have run the car hard. For typical driving you are fine to just turn off the car.

plus turbo timers are a major pita to install! I completely backed out when I read some install instructions.

haha exactly! I live in a residential area... as im sure most of us do. So you should be forced to take it easy for the last few minutes of driving. If you're at the track, yes, let your car idle for a couple mins... otherwise, same as ^^they^^ said.
