if they fit the b6 does that mean they should fit the b5s as well?

Not necessarily. Just send them an email, ask them what offsets they offer, or ask them if they have B5 customers with the wheel you want. If they can only tell you about the offset, tell that to us and then we can help you out.

In the Benz forum Eurotrenz says they have 35-40 offsets, does that mean they will fit? And I want them to fit nicely, what exact offset would you guys recommend?? I dont want them sticking out too much but I also dont want them going in at all..

yes a 35-40 offset is ideal for an A4 - 35 is nearly flush with the fender

this is 35 offset

No, they will be tucked in a bit. Wheel width plays a roll here as well.

Keep in mind that while reducing offset looks cool, and gives the car a more stable feel by increasing the stance, it has several negative drawbacks. Steering will become a little harder, which you may or may not notice due to the power steering system. Your turning radius will be increased. Lastly, because of the added leverage imposed on the suspension the springs will, in effect, feel softer. All of these items can be attributed to the added distance the wheels are placed from the suspension with a reduced offset.
