do you guys use lucas oil stablizer?
Im not sure the viscosity and breakdown level of mobil one, but I am assuming its close to the oil I run.
I use Amsoil, I can go 5k+ without changing my oil... hell I could most likely go 10k miles. The thing to remember though CHANGE THE FILTER.
Oil doesnt break down that bad, its chit and dirt in it that can cause harm. So make sure you change your filter per the requirements on it.
For me, thats every 5k.

me too, the audi engines produce very litle breakdowns, couse the oil is heated up. instead the other models were it is not. and during winter they can heav full heat but oil would be cold.
The oil breaks down less if it hot on its working temperature and thats is about 80C to 100C.
and mobil is the way to go. Do not add anything like oil stabilizer, they suck. and it better to change at 3000-5000 miles couse even though filter may clean the oil, the oil becomes acid. and its addictives break down. so if you wont spear money for your car, car wont take away your smile while driving.
and I love to use S/C type of oil, the special advantage of diesel oil is that it has better cleaners. ie.: SL/CJ
