Default Does This Make ANY sense to you?????

hey guys, was just wondering if it would make any sense to you if you just withing the month changed your front right passanges Axel. and take it to the dealer to get your alignment done, they tell you that the car doesnt line up right it might be because you need to replace the front right wheel hub and bearing? is this refering to the stuff on the axel or seporately? mayyybe the Hub, but the bearing also?? thanks for any help here

What do you mean it doesn't line up right? What did they tell you is off the camber, toe, caster? Where did you get the axle replaced? The wheel hub bearing is in the hub itself, the place where the axle connects to at the wheel. Unless that hub got bent somehow I don't see it significantly affecting alignment. Did you jump a curb or something?

hey Trey, well i bought the axel from auto parts and had it replaced with this mechanic it wasnt really all that hard the hardest part probably was taking the control arm off and putting it back on. but anyways when they tried doing my alignment at first at just tires the guy said that the back part was off allot and i belive he said the rear toe needs to be pushed back a little and only audi dealership has the device that does that thats y i took it there.( i have the alignmentreading from just tires) would that help?

1st dealer said that i need 2 front tires since the right one was warn due to bad alignment , then he called me back telling me about the wheel hub bearing and estimating to be $1415 to do it and 385 for 2 front tires. so im planning on taking it to another place tomorrow or sat to have them check it out because dealership is abselutely rediculous
