Does it really matter which intake on my 2.8l ?

i also need to know where to buy a head shield

its like near impossible to find them

i found one that Injen makes for like 50 bucks
its made from aluminum and i think its more for looks

if u get one tell me when u found it

just get a drop in filter, maybe add a second intake port. think about where these short ram intakes sit when installed...

i have no idea on the heatshield for the 2.8 washyourhands. your best bet is probly custom

i said it 2 audi's,2 years, and 2 intakes agoand still have the same opinion. Ebay intake is the best route

I bought that intake, i still got the filter at home...the only real thing that comes in handy is that bracket that hold its up for the K&N. because you can get a cheaper intake if you custom make one your self, alot cheaper, i paid 172$ for that K&N when i could of just customized one for only about 60$ which i did...so i would say go on ebay and buy one of theres because you will get the same out of it for a cheaper price. The bracket thing is nice though keeps my intake from hitting my cly head.

That and making sure you don't have to keep buying OEM air filters every few thousand miles.
