Default DONE!

Its done! Rear rotors/pads/bearings, took me about 5 hours with a trip to the store for hex sockets for the brake pad carrier. Most of the work of course pressing in the races into the rotors, carefully, with a big socket... Worked very well......Arif came over and checked it out, and diagnosed my headlight as it is burned out.. Why couldnt i have figured that out??????????? Car drives well on the test drive, braking is more controled, and stopping power has improved slightly. I have pictures of the old rotors which ill post later, the outter inch of the rotors were all corroded, youll see... The old pads had about an 1/8 of an inch left.

Yeah, the wind was killer today... And my *** hurts from sitting on the cold *** ground for 5 hours. I was driving onthe highway tonight and the rear end feels more solid now i think because of the new bearings. The old ones werent in bad shape, but i think before, the screw on the wheel spindle was loose becasue i pretty much was able to unscrew it by hand. All I need now is a headlight and there will be no problems.

Here is the picture of the old rotor.. I was going to take pictures of the entire job, but with all the grease, i changed my mind. I guess that is less than an inch, but enough to still make me sick.

Yeah I think they must be original. The pads were worn down to the plate where they were rubbing on the corroded surfface on the outside.. Im sure the pads have been replaced at some point though.
