hey, i did a quick search to see if there are any articles/posts on this, but alas, here i am writing

so heres the problem, for some reason the car thinks the door (drivers) is open when in fact its closed. ill close the door several times, etc and still no avail

anyone know how i can fix this??

 

there is an on off switch in the door jamb where the signal is made. when the door is closed it presses the button thus closing the circuit. and opening unpresses the button and allows the circuit to close. Id check that first, and make sure to test all 4 doors.

 

Mine closes pretty crappy...i have to literally slam it
so many times when i get back to the car, it's not fully closed....im guessing it's just my car, it can't possibly be all audi's

 

The switch is built into the latch. Sounds like you need to replace the latch.
