Hey i have a 96 A4 2.8Q, it has that convenient feature of heated door locks so your not frozen outta your car, except after driving, my door lock gets extremely hot to the point where it would hiss if rain or snow hit it. is there a fix for this? should i just disable the heated lock feature? and how do i disable it? anyone else have this happen to them?

Thats kinda impressive, I'd definately have someone check it out, or figure out how to disable it. I can't even tell that mine are heated, except for the fact that they work all the time (good to -12 degrees this last week)... however I don't ever touch it with my hand.

Are the heated locks only on the cold weather package cars?

If it's an electrical component and it's generating too much heat, it's most likely a shorted circuit somewhere.
