Default Door Lock, HELP PLEASE!!!

OK, So I get home from work and I lock my doors with my key because, My remote stopped working and I haven't gotten a new remote yet. So I lock the doors and it something happened when I turned the key, my key almost got stuck in the keyhole, so I take the door panel off and came to find that theres a piece and a spring that popped out of place. I was really frustrated I sat there trying to figure it out for at least 2 hours but I can't seem to place it how it supposed to go in. I was wondering has anyone came across the problem? Has anyone fixed it themselve, I somewhat came to a conclusion that I have to take it to the dealer to have it fixed. I have a 97 A4 1.8t... Anyone know what the dealer might charge to fix this OR if they can even do it?

I'm assuming it is the door handle return spring for the internal handle? Just buy a new part. It should be about 50 dollars on line if I recall correctly.

regarding your remote, you may just have to reprogram it. Search for the method of reprogramming itl.

LOL yeah tell me about it I was pissed... And No it's not the return spring for the hadle the handle doesn't have a spring it's a cable. I know it has to do with something with the actual lock to unlock and lock the car manually with the key... I don't know it's weird, I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow see if they'll fix it and how much they'll charge...
